Science
Over the past five years as a doctoral candidate, I have accumulated a great amount of scientific knowledge in the realms of gaming and esports. My work revolves around individual and team performance in these two areas.
In my weekly newsletter 'Gaming Science', I discuss gaming and esports-related topics such as performance, health, technology, and industry insights from a scientific perspective. Furthermore, in guest episodes, experts from both fields share their insights on current trends, problems, careers, and similar subjects.
Experience
In the past 13 years, I have worked at 73 events (and counting) as a freelancer. During this period, I gained an extensive amount of professional esports experience. I have filled many roles at esports events and worked on esports titles (e.g., StarCraft II, Counter-Strike, Hearthstone, and Overwatch) with top-tier companies in the industry such as ESL & DreamHack (part of EFG), Blizzard Entertainment, BLAST, and others.
Expertise
In addition to my 13-year experience working in esports and my scientific background as a doctoral candidate, my background as an economist (M. Sc. in Business Administration) provides a substantial basis of expertise and knowledge. My science-driven approach to gaming and esports brings value to individuals, teams, and organizations in the industry alike.
